Backyard Vine & Wine is located in Maryville, MO. It began as a retirement project by our father, Carl Christensen. Starting off as some fun cleaning up the land, or as he calls it, “playing in the dirt.” His love of the outdoors and his green thumb inspired him to dive in further and start this journey that pulled us all together to create this beautiful vineyard and some terrific Missouri wines.

Dale Hollow Winery and Vineyard is a family-owned-and-operated winery located in Stover, Mo. Nearly 10 acres of vineyards are overlooked by the winery and tasting room including eight different varietals, both red and white. The family (the Dale’s) believes good wine starts with quality grapes, and their mission is to achieve this through hard work in the vineyard to make great wines that are suitable to many individual preferences; as their motto suggests, "Wine is Personal."

Our 2024 Guest Distiller is Switchgrass Spirits.

We officially started our efforts in 2016 with a goal of creating an equitable craft distillery that manufactured high quality whiskey and brandy. We spent the next few years honing our skills as distillers and rebuilding a historic American Legion Hall on the north side of St. Louis. We focus on creating and aging only our own product using Midwestern labor and ingredients. In February 2020, we released our first aged and bottled cocktail to the public and have steadily worked since then to offer a variety of popular whiskies, fruit brandies, and collaborative experiments.
