What, when and where is Independence Uncorked?
A: The “Independence Uncorked” Wine Festival will be held on September, 14th, 2024 from 1:00pm-6:00pm on the grounds of the Historic Bingham-Waggoner Estate in Independence, MO. Independence Uncorked is the largest Missouri wine festivals in the state featuring 25 Missouri wineries sampling several of their wines, a guest spirits distiller, a cidery and 2400 attendees. The day will also feature art, music, beer, food booths and wine classes. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Eastern Independence and presented by Edward Jones.
How much does it cost to get into the festival?
A: General Admission is $35 in advance and $45 at the door. VIP is $60 Ticket are available through Eventbrite

Do you have to be 21 to enter?
A: Yes. Due to licensing and safety issues everyone must be 21+. No children are allowed.
Do I need bring my ID?
A: Yes. Everyone will be carded and expected to have their ID with them. No entrance without picture ID.
What is included with General Admission tickets?
A: General Admission tickets, allow access to the festival, free samples of wine from all the wineries attending, receive a free sample wine glass, great live music, wine classes, snack samples from Ennovation Center clients and access to amazing food vendors from around the metro.
What is included with the VIP ticket?
A: Everything in the GA ticket plus entry to the festival at noon (1 hour early), a trip thought the VIP area food line and a tour certificate for the Bingham-Waggoner House.
Can I buy tickets the day of the festival?
A: If there are tickets still available, they may be purchased at the door for $45. Check the Facebook page for ticket availability the week leading up to the festival.
Can I purchase ticket other than online/
A: Yes. They are available in the Carriage House Gift Shop at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate. Call for times 816-461-3491
Is there a Designated Driver ticket?
A: No. Non-drinkers can attend and enjoy the food, music, vendors, and other festival activities.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
A: No. Outside food or drink is NOT allowed through the gate.
Will there be food available at the event?
A: Yes! Some vendors offer small snack tastes at no charge as well as an entire culinary area of vendors selling food at an additional cost. For VIP ticket holders, a one trip food ticket is included with the ticket price and can be found in the VIP area.
Will there be non-alcoholic drinks available?
A: Yes, non-alcoholic drinks and water will be available at the festival for sale by food vendors.
What can I NOT bring into the event?
A: Things that are NOT allowed into the festival are: backpacks, coolers, outside food and drink, tents, strollers and pets.
What can I bring into the event?
A: Chairs and blankets may be brought onto the grounds.
What happens if it rains?
A: This is a rain or shine event. There are no refunds due to weather. Please dress appropriately.
What if I purchased a ticket and cannot attend the event?
A: Just as a sporting event or concert, tickets cannot be refunded, however, tickets are transferable
Can I leave the event and then return?
A: No, there is no re-entry to the event after leaving.
Will there be Will Call?
A: No, tickets purchased in advance through Eventbrite can be printed and brought to the event or shown on your mobile device.

A: Go to the winery tab on the website www.IndependenceUncorked.com
When is the last wine poured?
A: Wine will be poured after 5:45pm.
How Late can an attendee stay?
A: The event concludes at 6pm. Patrons will be expected to leave the grounds at that time.
Will any of the wine run out?
A: Yes, wine will run out. The popularity of some wines along with supplies make it impossible to guarantee a certain wine will be available.
Can I bring my pet?
A: No pets are allowed at the festival except for service dogs.
Is there a taxi or cab option for rides?
A: Yes, Yellow Cab, 1010 Taxi and Uber are all available. Contact info is listed on the property & available at the Information Booth.
Where can I park?
A: Parking will be available at the event. Attendants will direct vehicles upon arrival. There are also remote lots and street parking. Check out the "find us" on the website for the parking map. Handicapped parking is located on the Bingham-Waggoner hard-surface lot.

Is there transportation to and from the parking lots?
A: Yes. A Free bus will be available. Look for the signs

A: Yes, but there is uneven ground, A handicapped portable toilet is on the grounds.
